We are looking for a talented Gameplay Programmer with a passion for game design and a strong background in C++ and Unreal Engine 5. As a Gameplay Programmer, you will be responsible for implementing gameplay features, optimising game performance, and collaborating with designers and artists to bring our game concepts to life. You will work closely with the development team to ensure high-quality gameplay mechanics and a seamless player experience.
Design, implement, and maintain gameplay systems and features using C++ and Unreal Engine 5.
Collaborate with game designers to translate design concepts into functional gameplay mechanics.
Optimize gameplay performance and ensure smooth gameplay experiences across various platforms.
Debug and troubleshoot gameplay issues, providing timely solutions.
Participate in code reviews and contribute to the overall improvement of the codebase.
Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in gameplay programming.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Game Development, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
3+ years of experience in gameplay programming, with a strong focus on C++ and Unreal Engine 5.
Solid understanding of game development principles and practices.
Experience with gameplay systems such as AI, physics, animation, and user interfaces.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Familiarity of working with industry standard project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Perforce, Git).
Knowledge of additional programming languages (e.g., C#, Python) is a plus.
